Hand Crafted Sandals and Shoes

The process of making sandal and shoes has fascinated me for a long time. It seemed difficult to get started and it required Margaret and I to research various methods for making footwear. We finally accomplished it and have come up with a simple process that works for us. I decided to show some of the simple sandals and shoes that Margaret and I have made in the last year.

 These old soles need replacing. 



A simple putty knife

Vise Grips

Start pulling the old sole off.

One off and one more to go!

Both old soles are removed.
Now I have to clean the surface and prepare it for gluing on another sole.
